Rockets to end Anthony's brief stint

HOUSTON (AP) Carmelo Anthony is done in Houston.

Rockets general manager Daryl Morey released a statement Thursday saying the team is "parting ways" with Anthony and "working toward a resolution."

Anthony played just 10 games for the Rockets after signing a one-year, $2.4 million deal during the offseason.

Warriors' Green not sorry for KD dustup

HOUSTON (AP) Draymond Green isn't apologizing for his part in a dustup with Kevin Durant that led to a one-game suspension by the Golden State Warriors.

But Green vowed Thursday that the Warriors are not imploding, regardless of whatever is, or isn't happening, following the heated exchange between he and Durant in Monday night's overtime loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Nuggets start fast in rout of Hawks

DENVER (AP) Criticized by their coach for slow, stagnant play, the Denver Nuggets reverted to a fast-break style that carried their offense to new highs.

Juancho Hernangomez scored a season-high 25 points to lead seven Nuggets in double figures and Denver set the tone for a runaway victory with a big first quarter Thursday night, beating the Atlanta Hawks 138-93.

Lakers' Rondo undergoes hand surgery

LOS ANGELES (AP) Rajon Rondo had surgery Thursday on his broken right hand, and the Los Angeles Lakers plan to use a variety of strategies to replace the veteran point guard while he heals.

Los Angeles will be without Rondo for four to five weeks after he was injured in the fourth quarter of the Lakers' fourth straight win, 126-117 over Portland on Wednesday night. Rondo apparently hurt his hand while making a steal, but he kept playing for several more minutes before coming out of the game.

Ashley Moyer-Gleich is eight years removed from playing in the NCAA Division II tournament. Natalie Sago officiated her first game six years ago, and the players were sixth-grade girls.

Magic rally, spoil Butler's 76ers debut

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) Everything about Jimmy Butler's first game with the 76ers was going great, until the fourth quarter.

Butler had 14 points in his Philadelphia debut, but the 76ers collapsed late and lost to Orlando 111-106 after Terrence Ross hit a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 8.7 seconds left that helped the Magic finish off a big comeback Wednesday night.

Pistons' Casey wins in return to Toronto

TORONTO (AP) Dwane Casey's return to Toronto delivered drama right up until the final second.

Reggie Bullock made the winning shot as time expired and the Detroit Pistons rallied from a 19-point deficit to beat the Raptors 106-104 on Wednesday night, giving Casey an emotional victory over his former team.
