Analysis: With Orleans Darkwa showing great promise the last two weeks, it's very possible Perkins' days as the Giants' lead back are over.

Analysis: With Perkins struggling anyway, the Giants don't mind sitting him out out while giving youngsters Wayne Gallman and Orleans Darkwa the workload in the backfield.
|Oct. 1, 2017 4:58 PM PT5:58 PM MT6:58 PM CT7:58 PM ET23:58 GMT7:58 4:58 PM MST6:58 PM EST6:58 PM CT3:58 UAE (+1)19:58 ETNaN: - Paul Perkins ran for 13 yards on nine carries Sunday before leaving the New York Giants' 25-23 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third quarter with a rib injury. He added one reception for six yards.
Analysis: Perkins' availability for next week's game against the Chargers isn't yet known, though he may be danger of losing his status as the Giants' No. 1 back regardless. The second-year pro is averaging a paltry 1.9 yards on 32 carries thus far.

|Sep. 18, 2017 8:26 PM PT9:26 PM MT10:26 PM CT11:26 PM ET3:26 GMT11:26 8:26 PM MST10:26 PM EST10:26 PM CT7:26 UAE (+1)23:26 ETNaN: - Paul Perkins ran for 10 yards on seven carries Monday in the New York Giants' 24-10 loss to the Detroit Lions. He added two receptions for 12 yards.
Analysis: Through the season's first two weeks, the Giants' nominal No. 1 back has managed 26 yards on 14 carries and hasn't had a run longer than four yards. Perkins could find a little more success next week against a Philadelphia defense that was gouged for 112 rushing yards and two touchdowns by Kansas City in Week 2, but he'd still be a highly risky fantasy starting choice.
|Sep. 10, 2017 8:19 PM PT9:19 PM MT10:19 PM CT11:19 PM ET3:19 GMT11:19 8:19 PM MST10:19 PM EST10:19 PM CT7:19 UAE (+1)23:19 ETNaN: - Paul Perkins ran for 16 yards on seven carries Sunday in the New York Giants' 19-3 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He added two receptions for nine yards.
Analysis: Perkins didn't have a run longer than three yards on a night in which Dallas' defensive front consistently controlled the line of scrimmage. Still without a touchdown in 15 career games, the second-year pro is one of the more unappealing No. 1 backs for fantasy results.
