The crystal ball: 2018 FCS playoff projection

By CRAIG HALEY

STATS FCS Senior Editor

(STATS) - George Steinbrenner appears to be the boss of the bubble teams in contention for FCS playoff bids.

Some believe it's George Costanza.

With each passing hour on a Saturday, the positive and negative vibes change for teams such as Chattanooga, Central Arkansas, Delaware, Northern Iowa, Rhode Island and South Dakota. Up to The Postseason Show one hour, back to Triple-A status the next.

Those teams aren't alone, either, because there's plenty more. Listing them all would break the Internet.

The following is a projected FCS playoff field through a combination of current results and a look ahead to upcoming schedules. Selection Sunday is Nov. 18.
